Your Role as a Purchasing Specialist:

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving supply chain efficiency and cost optimization across Euro-Wall’s operations. This position focuses heavily on sourcing hardware, metal extrusions, and related materials while maintaining strategic supplier relationships that support our long-term supply chain goals. You will help reduce PPV (Purchase Price Variance), manage vendor performance, and ensure timely material availability to keep production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Supply Chain & Purchasing Strategy

• Execute purchasing activities aligned with Euro-Wall’s supply chain strategy to ensure uninterrupted materials availability and cost efficiency.

• Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships with a focus on Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Development (QCDD).

• Identify, negotiate, and implement cost-saving opportunities including alternate sourcing and volume leverage.

• Lead initiatives to reduce PPV and elevate procurement performance.

🔹 Vendor Management & Leadership

• Oversee all vendor communication to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and responsiveness.

• Track and evaluate supplier performance; initiate corrective actions when needed.

• Partner with suppliers on continuous improvement and VAVE initiatives.

🔹 Purchasing Execution

• Place purchase orders based on ERP/MRP demand and production schedules.

• Confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery commitments; negotiate favorable terms when possible.

• Expedite urgent orders and resolve shortages or delivery issues to protect production timelines.

• Maintain accurate purchase order data and update delivery dates in ERP systems.

🔹 Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

• Collaborate with planning and warehouse teams to maintain inventory accuracy and material availability.

• Assist with cycle counts and investigate material variances.

🔹 Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure documentation accuracy for all purchasing activities, including international shipments.

• Assist with invoice matching and resolve pricing or quantity discrepancies.

• Follow Euro-Wall’s purchasing policies and relevant Incoterms.

What You Need to Succeed

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing documentation processes.

✔ Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing.

• Proven success in cost savings and negotiation.

• Experience in vendor management and supplier leadership.

• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Odoo, JDE, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).

• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory controls, and PPV reduction strategies.
